William Hardy "Buddy" Yarborough, age 80 of Maxton died Saturday, December
9, 2017 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at First Baptist Church in
Maxton. Burial will be at Williford Cemetery in Dunn at 2:00 PM. The family
will receive friends prior to the service in the church beginning at 10:00.

A native of Hoke County he was a son of the late Loney William and Frances
Viola Wright Yarborough. Buddy was a US Army veteran and worked for Austin
Gilbert Drug Company in Maxton as a Pharmacist for many years eventually
buying the business and later retiring.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sonja Williford Yarborough and is
survived by sisters Florene Y. Craft and husband Bobby of New Braunfels,
TX, Jean Y. Prickett of Carthage and Barbara Y. Southers and husband
Richard of San Antonio, TX; several nieces nephews and cousins.

Fry & Prickett Funeral Home in Carthage is serving the Yarborough family.
