Roy Mashburn, age 90 of Carthage passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at Peak Resources-Pinelake in Carthage.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Cool Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery in Glendon conducted by the Rev. Allen Mashburn. A public
viewing will be at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 - 5:00pm. The family will also receive friends at the home.

A native of Moore County he was a son of the late John Henry and Mamie Mashburn. Roy was a hard working man and was well respected by all who knew
him. Roy served as a foreman with the NCDOT for 26 years, before retiring. He then worked with Riley Paving for a number of years, and finished his career with Denning Paving - spending over 60 years in the paving industry. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Esther Fields Mashburn; daughter Cathy Frye of Carthage; sons Randy Mashburn of Carthage and J. Allen Mashburn and wife Melissa of Robbins; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services are entrusted to Fry & Prickett Funeral Home.
